Romantic Getaways from Sydney Part 1: Bowral

Top 3 things to do in Bowral

I love Bowral so much that I chose to celebrate my 40th birthday there , with my partner, family and friends. As well as group weekends away, it’s also the perfect spot for romance. Think log fires, wineries and a hatted restaurant. There is even a cricket museum for your husband, whilst you meander around the antique shops. Everyone is happy.

Donald Bradman was born in Bowral. The museum named after him is extremely informative and interesting, even if you are not normally a cricket fan.

Going to Bowral without dining at The SMH Good Food Guide NSW Regional Restaurant 2015 would be like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower!

You can't get much more romantic than flowers. From the Autumn Garden Festival in May to the Tulip Festival in September/October. Forget Amsterdam, Bowral is the NSW capital of tulips.
